Why does it make sense to help children from Roma settlements to study?
If you have ever heard that education is the key to a better future, for our children from the Roma settlements it is doubly true. Martin Halík and his family have worked with Roma children for more than 8 years.
What is the situation in the Roma settlements today?
In the Roma settlements, it is common to find people without education or work, living only on social benefits. For poor people from the Roma settlements, it is often hard to send their children to study.
Where will your help go?
All our activities so far have been paid 90 % from the own resources of the founder of the KRM organization, Martin Halík. Thanks to your help, the effect of these activities can be multiplied.
What has changed in the settlements so far?
The results of KRM's work in the settlements bring hope for change. Fathers have jobs, young people work after finishing school, and children can read and write.
Who are Martin Halík and KRM?
It has been 8 years since Martin Halík changed his life and began working with the Roma. Together with colleagues and his wife Michalka, they founded the Christian Roma Mission. We thank you for every single contribution.
