Spring holidays are a week away. What now? The children will be bored, which often leads to sin.
What about taking them somewhere on a trip? To a castle, or out in nature? There is still mud with snow there, but more people asked us whether we could take the children to the zoo sometime. We will pray about it and ask the elders what they think...
D-Day
On Thursday at 8 in the morning, 44 children and 8 adults set out. After a tiring journey we reached the zoo around 11. Whenever we travel by bus with children, we have to be ready for vomiting. So we set off equipped with lots of little bags and Kinedryl for the way back.

Looking back, I would say the children were good. By God's mercy everything turned out well: all the animals survived, and the zoo, and we too. And the children had a great experience. Probably nobody has ever run through the whole zoo so fast or taken so many photos as our group.
On the way home we stopped at the new church of St. Thérèse of Lisieux for a look around, a prayer and a blessing. The children liked the choir best.
After 11 hours, and in the dark, we parked safely in front of the Roma settlement, and the children ran home to their families. They were already homesick.
