For quite some time we had been praying for two nearby Roma settlements - Hačava Skiale and Mútník - that the good God would open the door for us there. In May the local community centre approached us, asking whether we would join them in Mútník in the Samaritan's Purse project. We gladly took it as an answered prayer. Samaritan's Purse is a project of Franklin Graham. Its point is that children from the richer parts of the world pack small gifts for children from the poorer parts, and at the same time the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is proclaimed to them. But it does not end there. The children can sign up for follow-up lessons and learn more about the Lord Jesus and other people in the Bible.

13 children signed up with us, and we began teaching in June. We meet on Monday evenings. We sing songs, play games, learn little verses, listen to the lesson and gradually fill in colourful workbooks. After all the lessons are finished, a closing celebration with a surprise awaits us.
